Music plays a foundational role in our worship gatherings, helping to form and shepherd the people of God in powerful ways. Throughout the Psalms, we are called to “sing to the Lord a new song.” What might it look like for that to be lived out more fully in our local churches?

Over the span of three days in Salt Lake City (August 27 - 30, 2026), we will gather a small group of worship leaders and pastors to explore that together. Our desire is to collaboratively write songs that reflect what God is speaking in our local contexts to help encourage, strengthen, and spiritually form our congregations.

This weekend will be centered around prayer, worship, and collaboration. We'll create space to listen, write, and build friendships with each other. Our hope is that you leave with a song worth teaching your church and a simple framework for starting a writers' community within your own context when you get home.

We believe God is still not only giving His Church new songs but has specific things He wants to communicate through the music of M28.
